Vape Kits

Types of Vape Kit

Pod kits are compact and simple, using small refillable pods, and are the most popular type. Vape pens have a slim, cylindrical body with a larger battery and tank. Sub ohm kits are higher-powered devices for direct-to-lung vaping and bigger clouds. Starter kits are beginner-friendly picks from across these types. If you'd rather not refill at all, prefilled pod kits use sealed, ready-filled pods.

MTL, RDL and DTL Vaping

Vape kits are designed around a vaping style. Mouth-to-lung (MTL) kits have a tighter draw, similar to a cigarette, and suit nic salts and 50/50 e-liquids. Direct-to-lung (DTL) kits have open airflow and low-resistance coils for larger clouds, and suit higher-VG shortfills. Restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) sits between the two. Our guide to MTL and DTL vaping explains the difference.

What's in the Box and What Else You'll Need

Most vape kits include the device, at least one pod or coil, and a USB-C charging cable. Refillable kits don't include e-liquid, so you'll need a bottle to suit the kit. Coils and pods wear out over time, so check which replacement coils or replacement pods your kit uses. Some sub ohm kits run on removable vape batteries, which are sold separately.

Choosing a Vape Kit

Start with your vaping style, then compare battery capacity, pod or tank size, airflow adjustment and how easy coils and pods are to find. If you're new to vaping, a draw-activated pod kit is the simplest place to start. Our vape starter kit buyer's guide can help. Discontinued models are listed in sale & clearance.

Vape Kits FAQs

Can't see your question? Get in touch.

What is the best vape kit to buy?

It depends on how you like to vape. Pod kits are the simplest and suit MTL vaping with nic salts. Vape pens offer a bigger battery and tank. Sub ohm kits suit experienced vapers who want more vapour and control.

Do vape kits come with e-liquid?

Refillable vape kits don't usually include e-liquid, so you'll need to buy a bottle separately. Prefilled pod kits are the exception, as their pods come ready-filled.

How long does a vape kit last?

The device itself typically lasts many months with care. The parts that wear out are the coils and pods, which usually need replacing every one to two weeks depending on how much you vape.

Can I use any e-liquid in my vape kit?

Match the e-liquid to the kit. MTL pod kits and pens suit nic salts and 50/50 e-liquids, while sub ohm kits work best with higher-VG shortfills. Using the wrong type can cause leaking or harsh hits.

What's the difference between a pod kit and a vape mod?

A pod kit is small and simple, with a built-in battery and refillable pods. A vape mod is a larger, more powerful device that pairs with a separate tank and often adjustable settings. See our vape mods for more.
