What Are Nicotine Pouches?

Nicotine pouches are pre-portioned pouches containing nicotine, flavourings and plant-based fillers. They contain no tobacco leaf and produce no smoke, vapour or ash. Most come in a small tin of around 20 pouches. Because there's nothing to charge or refill, many adults use them where they can't or don't want to vape. Nicotine pouches contain nicotine, which is addictive. They are not risk-free and are not licensed stop-smoking medicines.

People often call them snus, but snus is a different, tobacco-based product. Our guide what is snus? explains the difference, and is snus legal in the UK? covers the law. Every product in this collection is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch.

Choosing a Strength

Strength is shown in milligrams of nicotine per pouch, and our range runs from around 3mg to 30mg. If you're new to nicotine pouches or use nicotine lightly, start with a lower strength and see how you get on. You can move up or down over time. Extra strong pouches such as Pablo and Killa are made for experienced users. Pouches also come in different formats, including slim and mini pouches such as ZYN Slim and Mini, which sit more discreetly.

Flavours and Brands

Mint is the most popular flavour, from spearmint and wintergreen to icy menthol. Fruit and fruit-ice flavours are widely available too, including berry, watermelon, mango and grape. VELO offers the widest range of flavours, while CLEW includes coffee and golden tobacco styles. Pablo and Killa focus on extra strong pouches, and Elf Bar offers fruit and ice flavours.
