Rebuildable Tanks

Rebuildable Tanks give you the most control over your vaping experience. Mainly used by advanced vapers, rebuildables come in many variations – Redbuildable Dripping Atomizers (RDA’s), Rebuildable Tank Atomizers (RTA’s) & Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizers (RDTA’S.)

Rebuildable tanks differ from Sub Ohm Tanks and are often considered to be a ‘step up’ in terms of your vaping journey. Instead of buying and replacing coil heads that you’d typically use with Sub Ohm Tanks, you build your own coils. You can find our range of Wire & Rebuildable coils here and ranges of Wicking Cotton here.

Each device takes some assembly, and these are only for advanced users only. You should have a basic knowledge of Ohms Law & Battery safety before you attempt to use these devices.

    What is an RDA Tank?

A Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser or RDA Tank, is an advanced piece of kit, designed for seasoned vapers looking to take their vape to the next level.

Featuring a build deck within the device and a small e-liquid reservoir, these devices need to be topped up with e-liquid regularly. The build deck also allows you to create your own coil builds, either from scratch or using pre-built rebuildable coils and cotton wick

Due to the high levels of customisation available, these tanks can create immense flavour and levels of vapour.

What is the difference between an RDA and a Sub Ohm Tank?

Sub ohm tanks and RDA’s differ widely, in both setup and use.

Sub-ohm tanks are the most used tanks and are often paired with devices in complete vape kits. These tanks are used because they’re easy to use and coils come pre-made, meaning you only have to screw them in to use them. With these tanks, you only need to set the wattage to the recommended wattage range of the replacement coil to get the best experience.

RDA Tanks however, require you to build your own coils and wick them, meaning not only do you have to have the knowledge of ohms law and battery safety, but you also must know the inner workings of these tanks. These tanks also do not come with a large glass surrounding them that holds liquid, meaning that liquid must be constantly dripped directly onto the coils to use them.

What should I know about rebuildable dripping atomisers before using them?

Rebuildable devices are a very delicate and fine balance. We only recommend using these if you have a good understanding of ohms law and have ensured that the resistance of the coils you’re using are suitable for use.

Once you are sure that the coils are set to the right resistance and are heating in a uniform manner, then you’ll find that this way of vaping offers a flavour and vapour production that is extremely difficult to pass up when compared to traditional tanks.

Rebuildables can be extremely dangerous if you do not know what you are doing – you must know battery safety and ohms law before proceeding with these devices. You can find more information about Ohms law in our guide: Ohm’s Law: Everything a Vaper Needs to Know

    What is an RTA Tank?

Rebuildable Tank Atomisers feature elements of rebuildable dripping atomisers and standard vape tanks, providing you with the best of both worlds. RTA stands for Rebuildable Tank Atomiser.

Differing from an RDA, RTA’s feature a glass tank that acts as the e-liquid reservoir, holding more e-liquid and making the device more convenient. The surrounding glass tank eliminates the need to continuously keep dripping e-liquid directly onto the coils.

An RTA, like an RDA, features a build deck, allowing you to build your own coils and wick them, providing you with the ultimate in customisation options.
