Gourmet E Liquid® (Gourmet E Liquid Ltd) was founded in 2015 by two friends that were both long term smokers. After discovering vaping, they both quit smoking traditional cigarettes and turned to vaping to control their cravings. It was soon after getting into vaping that they discovered the world of high end imported liquids from America and this started their flavour journey.
Vaping proved to be an effective way for them to stop smoking and they had a simple idea – deliver smoking cessation products that worked to a wider market.
When the company started in late 2015, the industry was starting to gain popularity on a wider scale, with new and exciting products coming out on a weekly basis. Product selection in the UK was expanding, with many products being imported from the USA, Canada, China & Malaysia. With this flood of products entering the market, we had to ensure that only the best products were being listed on our store, with each product going through a simple testing phase: if the product met our standards of quality, we’d list it on our store.
Our idea at first was to be an e liquid only site, with a wide selection of premium e liquids only available on our store. We then realised that we’d need to stock a wider range of products to satisfy customer needs.
The company went through hundreds if not thousands of products, testing and searching daily for the best products. Trips to distributers and wholesalers occurred daily and many late nights were had updating the store and making it as user friendly as possible.
In May 2017, our business had to change drastically, with the introduction of the Tobacco Products Directive or TPD for short. This meant that all the products that we had listed had to be dropped and new products had to be introduced that adhered to the new legislation. There were to be no e-liquids over 10ml containing nicotine and tanks could not be any larger than 2ml in size.
Gourmet E Liquid were one of the first companies in the UK to start offering Shortfill E Liquids, offering users larger bottles of e liquid they were used to, without the nicotine. This introduction of large bottles at 0mg nicotine strength revolutionised the industry in the UK and this has now become standard practice for retailers and manufacturers, whilst staying on the right side of the legislation introduced by the EU.
October 2019 saw one of the busiest months for us as a company, with our first store being opened in Manchester and the release of our first range of e liquids, Fog Addicts. The launch of this e liquid coincided with our appearance at The Hall of Vape in Hamburg, Germany.

We’ve built some fantastic relationships with distributors, wholesalers and manufacturers during this journey and all our products only come from trusted sources. That way you know that you’re getting a quality, genuine product every time.

Whilst we understand that this technology is still relatively new and the side-effects of this are still not fully realised, we are of the understanding that vaping is around 95% less harmful than smoking tobacco and in the UK, vaping is being promoted as an alternative to traditional Nicotine Replacement Therapies by organisations such as OneYou.

We aim to get back in contact with you within 24 hours, but at weekends this can take slightly longer. You will then be put into contact with one of our representatives where we can discuss your problems and look at a potential resolution. No problem is too small.
We pride ourselves on our fast delivery, with most of our customers who purchase before 4pm receiving their products the next working day. This isn’t always possible, but we aim to get your package to you as soon as physically possible.
We currently send all packages via Royal Mail and offer a free delivery option for all orders over £20. This free delivery option is sent out as 24hr tracked, so you can keep up to date and track your package accurately. We feel this gives you peace of mind, ensuring that your package is on its way and will be delivered on time.
