What is Nicotine Salt?
Nicotine Salts are a naturally occurring chemical found within the tobacco plant. With some clever chemistry, this salt is extracted from the plant and can be used in e-liquids.
Compared to freebase nicotine, which is the nicotine you’ll find in many standard e-liquids or nicotine boosters, salt nicotine is more readily absorbed by the body, providing you with a rush like that of a cigarette. It also provides you with a smoother throat hit, which is why nicotine salts are said to be a great option for beginner vapers.
If you have more questions, we’ve put together a resource where we have answered the most common questions regarding nicotine salts.
What Nicotine Strength Should I Use?
Nicotine Salts are most commonly available in either 10mg or 20mg nicotine strength. We would recommend that users only try 20mg, which is the strongest nicotine strength allowed in the EU/UK, if you smoked more than 1 pack of cigarettes a day.
If you smoked less than this amount, then we would recommend 10mg, however some manufacturers are now creating lower nicotine options due to the increased popularity of nic salts.
What Type of Vape Kit Is Best for Nicotine Salts?
Nicotine Salts are best used with Pod Kits and low powered devices that offer a mouth-to-lung vaping experience. Using these kits in tandem with a coil that has a resistance of 1.0 Ohm or above will yield the best results.
We do not recommend using nicotine salts with sub-ohm devices as nic salts contain a much higher concentration of nicotine compared to traditional e-liquids that contain freebase nicotine.
